In Wartime by Paul Fussell, Type-Casting seem to be the more interesting chapter. In Type-Casting I thought it was absurd that the soldierly imagination categorized people in four different ways which were:
- Female ( mothers, sisters, grandmothers ect.) this was agents of sexual solace.
- Ederly men who runs the draft boards
- The infantine
- The physically unfit.
I personally think that people should not be categorized as well as the solders do not have the authority to do such thing.

Type-casting is a human activity. It is not "authorized" it is a human phenomenon that people use to make sense of the world. The ways in which women are type-cast are an important part of wartime propaganda, and an important part of popular culture.
